Today's letters were great.  Here are some excerpts from the letters:

I feel like I don't have a good introduction.

I don't know how to start. (Lots of these comments).  

My dialogue is good.  When I read it I laugh.  

I hope you like my story because it is really from my heart.

Many students commented on their introductions and lack of confidence with the intro.  That tells me when need to have a couple mini lessons on introductory elements, like hook, anecdotes, etc.  There were lots of comments about the students' voice and confidence with it.  That makes me happy.  I want students to feel confident in hearing their own voice in their writing.
