Reflection: Student Ownership And That's What It's All About - Section 4: Explore: Finding Objects In Motion

During this part of the lesson, I am allowing students to walk around the school and observe.  I have spent a lot of time (since the start of the year) discussing hallway expectations and we have practiced and modeled the expectations.  It is because of this that I am ok with students taking off with their partners and observing not heir own.  You need to make a judgement about your own class before allowing this.

I also gave a heads up to the other classroom teachers to make sure that it was ok if kids war quietly going into their rooms to observe.
