Reflection: Accountability Final Draft Day - Section 1: Independent Practice


It has been a struggle to change the culture of students that pushes back and even refuses to complete multiple drafts of their writing in order to really make improvements and grow as writers. To support their efforts over this past few days, I feel it is necessary to provide them the time in class to complete this task, plus it allows me to oversee the process and ensure they are really doing what is expected of them.
