Reflection: Lesson Planning "Story of an Hour" Timed Write - Section 1: Instructional Input

My ultimate goal in this writing assignment is for all students to have a genuinely high likelihood for success. I want them to be able to shine and really show what they know and have learned. By giving them these options to choose from, they have the power to really show their stuff and write about the prompt that is more relevant for them. When this happens, the overall quality of the writing itself, grammar, fluency, voice, etc. increases immensely. This is especially powerful to see with the students who tend to struggle more with writing.
