Reflection: Student Feedback Story Annotation - Section 3: Guided Practice - Collaboration

 

Students have shared in the past that there are times when they feel intimidated to ask questions about annotation or the text itself that we were working on, for fear of looking dumb in front of the class. In order to honor this feedback, with a text that I think may fall into such a category for some kids, I provide the kids with the opportunity to support one another in better understanding the text in a smaller environment.
