Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Sliding Into Science - Section 2: Engage

I want the students to be excited about the task.  I have decided to bring in the idea of the World Sliding Championship to not only engage the students but also to unify them around one idea for the lesson.  I am a competitive person and am always challenging my students to different contests.  This idea adds to the classroom community/culture that I have created.
