Reflection: Intervention and Extension Building a Nest of Essential Questions - Section 3: Soaring to New Heights (Exploration)

 

Many of us have friends who need a little extra challenge to get started and then persevere with a task.  Today, one of my brightest students needed the extra push.  To get him started, I wrote the page headings.  Then, I numbered from 1-6 and challenged him to fill the lines.  This challenge made him rise to the occasion!  He later was proud as a peacock telling me he went ahead and added number seven.

Big Idea: A little birdie told me... that we are starting a new Life Sciences unit! Today we build the foundational "nest" as we introduce Essential Questions.
