Reflection: Connection to Prior Knowledge Biography Research: Avoiding Plagiarism - Section 2: Part 2: Step Book

Students conducted a brief research project on landforms earlier in the year. They learned how to take brief notes and sort information into provided categories. They drew on those skills for this assignment. After modeling how to read a biography and sort the information using the step book, most students were able to do it independently. That allowed me to focus on students who had difficulty comprehending this genre of informational text.
