Reflection: Student Self-Assessment Characteristics of Life Wrap-up - Section 6: Assessment

I tried something new with this assessment today.  Since it is in the very beginning of the school year, I don't have much data yet on students and their writing needs.  Instead of assigning students which problems to do, I let students self assess and choose which questions they wanted to show understanding on.  This was a little bit of a risk, because every student could have decided to do the easiest prompt and leave it at that.

The paper below is an example of a student who decided to try to answer both questions.  She showed great fluency at writing and applying the concepts.
