Reflection: Diverse Entry Points Straws and Balls - Section 6: Elaborate

 

As students are observing and trying to record their learning, you may have to scribe for some of your early writers.  They should all be able to draw pictures, but you should help with the writing.  This way you can "capture" their thinking and also model who to use appropriate science vocabulary with in their observations.

Objective: SWBAT discuss and connect to the the idea the different amounts of force can change the speed and direction of of an object in motion.

Big Idea: The students will use a variety of balls and straws to move balls across the floor or table.
