Reflection: Intervention and Extension All By Myself - Section 2: ACTIVITY

Experience of Learning

This activity is good for students of all abilities. Some students can use teachers assistance - the teacher can be a scribe or a resource to assist with phonetic spelling. Use this activity as a way to encourage and guide early spellers/writers. Give the right kind of guidance to match and extend the student's abilities.

Students who want to try and spell for themselves can go ahead. Remember to conference with the student about what techniques they used to spell their words.
