Reflection: Rigor Systems Prior Knowledge Part 3 - Section 4: Close Reading (Day 3)


I loved how this close reading turned out with the students going back to reading to get the answers to the questions.  It was very challenging to come up with questions that were answered in the text vs in their heads, but I think it did add a level of positive accountability to the student reading.  This will be a great foundation for starting to build evidence based writing.  By the time we get to writing out complex responses, students will be used to going back to the text for answers and support.
