Reflection: Pacing This is How I Made Mine. (Part 2 of 2) - Section 2: Small Groups and Conferences

 

One thing to watch out for in this lesson is that it takes students vastly different amounts of time to complete each portion of the tasks during Part 1 and Part 2. Some students have the fine motor skills at this point to zoom through their mask creation, but then they slow down when they need to create their paragraphs. For others it's the opposite or they are slow to finish each part.

Keep an eye out for each students' rate of progress so that you can ensure that all students get the support they need to finish on-time. You can also enlist the help of those who are fast finishers on both parts of the two lessons to support their peers who need help with cutting, pasting, or fixing conventions in their paragraphs.
