Reflection: Real World Applications Vacation Home - Section 4: Closure

It's so important to my county, my school, and me that I promote career and college readiness skills within my lesson. So if I empower my students to become architects in this lesson, then their motivating will increase, and they will get a very small taste of a career that they may be interested in. Most of my students drew single family detached homes. I was hoping that some would draw unique houses: high rise condos, mansions, etc...  I know that they've seen these various types of houses before on television. I'm assuming that my students don't think that those are realistic, and haven't seen any in our town. One of the things that I want my students to know is that I've been all over the U.S. and the World to a few different countries; this always surprises my students. I let them know that when I was their age, I never dreamed I would have been to all the places I have. The sky is the limit!
