Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Using SWBT to Reveal Characters' Reasons for Their Actions in Fences, Act 2 Scene 1 - Section 2: Warmup + Share


Today's lesson is the 10th of 13 lessons in the (Fences) unit. After today, I have three days left to end the unit, and Cycle 3 is ending in four days which means I will be having a new batch of students for Cycle 4. This means I must focus on preparing for the perrformance task for Fences.

As a result of these considerations, I have chosen to merge the Warmup and Share in today's lesson as well as future lessons in the unit. Since we need to focus on the performance task, I must harness all of my students' energies and keep them focused on the end goal.

Though I failed in moving my students from SL.6.1c to SL.9-10.1c, I have the tools to prepare future students to achieve these goals in a fastidious manner.
