Reflection: Modeling Writing to Summarize - Section 2: Modeling

I like to do "Write Alouds" when teaching writing. By modeling the thoughts I put into writing for my students, they are able to embrace their own thoughts while they are writing on their own. Modeling this process shows students how important it is to think through the process of writing.
