Reflection: Checks for Understanding Aha Moment - Section 3: Independent Work Time: Complete Discussion Boxes, Set 5 and Aha Moment Search


As an extra activity, kids will find aha moments in their literature circle novels. I have them write them on the back of the discussion boxes. As they find these, I walk around and read them. I make sure to remind students to add direct quotes and page numbers. This way, we can assure accuracy.

Big Idea: How do we know when a character has an "aha moment?" We find an example in our read aloud and students continue to search.
