Reflection: Lesson Planning Growing "Beanstalks"- A Cross-Curricular Connection (Science and Writing) - Section 5: Assessing the Task

This lesson was packed with things to do, but it was very worth it!  My students really enjoyed following directions as they planted!  Also, my students did a great job with taking responsibility for their own little cups!  I loved seeing certain kids change their tune and do things like nurture something growing and talk about something scientific!  In the end, my students' writing was so much more rich because of the experiences they had!  I loved having students write what they literally saw- the comparisons and contrasts were so much deeper!
