Reflection: Intrinsic Motivation Advice for Life: Determining Important Messages in Historical Fiction Books - Section 3: Closing

Although, I've tried to make each and every lesson important to the lives of the students and help them understand the value of the activity, I know that sometimes its hard for them to make a connection. Closure to a unit is really important to pulling everything together. This lesson gives a sense of closure that helps students feel like all of their hardwork throughout the lesson was valuable and that the work and reading of the books give them something to take away and make their lives, academic and otherwise, better. This makes the work an intrinsic motivator as they continue to read and study  books, especially historical fiction.
