Reflection: Students with Disabilities Kenny & the Dragon Day Three: Chapter 4 & Chapter 5 - Section 4: Reading, Summary Writing, & Comprehension


To help meet the needs of students who are not able to read this text independently, I used a recording provided by my librarian.  This allowed the students to still be a part of the shared reading experience, and practice the standards with a grade level text.

Objective: SWBAT read grade level literature, and write an abridged summary for each chapter showing comprehension of the most important events, character, and summary information in a novel. SWBAT create an engaging audio recording and visual display of one of their abridged summaries.
