Reflection: Unit Exams What Have We Learned? (Subtraction) - Section 3: Taking the Test and Centers

This is our last test!  The students did a great job and were glad that it was the last one.  I was really happy to see the progress that they have made at taking tests throughout the year.  I don't feel that paper and pencil tests are the best way to assess kindergarteners, but the reality is that they will have to take them for the rest of their school careers.  I think taking the time to teach them basic test taking skills in kindergarten will help them as they move on to first grade.

Unit 7: Subtraction
Lesson 19 of 19

Big Idea: After completing a unit on subtraction, a summative assessment is given to gain information about what the students have learned! Assessing in small groups helps students focus and do their best on the assessment!
