Reflection: Real World Applications Theme Continued - Lesson 2 of Cinder Book Four - Section 1: Warm Up

I like to use teacher made videos in my classroom for several reasons:

1.  Lets be honest, after a while our voice becomes like Charlie Brown's teacher.  A break in the monotony of one person teaching is great. This is why I love team teaching and allowing my students to teach one another.  When you think about it the internet allows us to have a much larger field for team teaching.

2.  I want my students to know that the internet is for more than watching silly cat videos.  In the truly technological world, humans use the internet to create, to learn, to move forward.  I think this type of use demonstrates that.

3. There are many ways of explaining things and my way is not always the best for all of my students.  This gives me options.  It also allows me to upload to Edmodo so that my students and parents have the video as a resource.

There are many great teachers out there flipping their classrooms and using blended learning.
