Reflection: Checks for Understanding CORNERSTONE:Circle Ratios: Diameter to Radius; Circumference to Diameter - Section 1: Introduction and Essential Questions


It is worth taking a minute to have students examine the table.  They can do this as partners or it can be a group discussion.  I want to mitigate the issues students may have when filling out a table.  This discussion is a way to make sure everybody understands where to fill in the information given.  It seems kind of basic but when I overlook these things I end up with some strange results from my students.

I may just ask students to talk to each other about the following:

How many different circles will we measure today?

What information will we fill in for each circle?

This will only take a few minutes but it's worth it.
