Reflection: Shared Expectations No Longer a Freshman: Setting Goals for 10th Grade - Section 2: Building Knowledge: Technology in the Class

This generation may be called digital natives, however their skills are often limited to the types of technology that interests them.  They struggle to remember usernames and passwords to accounts that are not their priority.  It is my habit to use Star Wars references in class, so when encourage them to write down in their binder or on their phones their username and password, I explain that none of my students wanted to be Jar Jar Binks.  This reminder went well. So far, students seem to remember their usernames and passwords and are excited to use Edmodo throughout the year.
