Reflection: Student Ownership Best Book Project Day 4 - Section 2: Project Work

My students really amaze me when they are given the time and tools to be creative.  Today, they came up with ideas for tags that I hadn't thought of at all.  So, I made a split second decision to allow them to share out, and I'm so glad I did.  The "channel" concept on Thinglink and my SMART board where a huge help in the sharing department, but we also had conversations at tables.

Allow students to share ideas and have a true "working", conversational environment of them teaching each other allowed the creativity to spread and enhanced projects around the classroom.  It is tempting to have them work individually, especially at this crazy point in the year, but I'm glad I didn't.  It was a lesson for me.
