Reflection: Writing an Opinion - Revising - Section 3: Assessment

Student evaluation is a very important part of the writing process. They should be able to read a piece and determine the traits of good writing, such as repetition, sentence variety, and punctuation, to name a few. (In the attached student work, a student noticed the repetitive sentence in the piece.) This helps students become aware of their strengths as a writer, as well as their weaknesses. They work to improve on those weakness in future writing assignments, becoming better over time.
