Reflection: Developing a Conceptual Understanding Informational text: Using an inner voice sheet to make connections - Section 3: Student Work Time--Students read and annotate


This example of a student inner voice sheet reveals a magical teacher moment.  While this student is missing a couple of the sentence length requirements of the assignment, she blows me away with her insight and connection between the article and her understanding and experience with math/science.  Not only did she read the informational text well, but she also made conceptual connections between the text and her prior and current knowledge.  Hooray!
