Reflection: Lesson Planning Similes: Float like a butterfly - Section 2: Mini-Lesson

Many books can work well to teach Similes, but the following link from Teaching with Kid’s Books provides a comprehensive list of books that have great examples of Similes: http://www.teachingkidsbooks.com/uncategorized/simile-in-picture-books . It is important to choose books that are narrative and informational for this concept to show that it can be done with both genres. This is a great resource for continuing work with this strategy.
