Reflection: Intervention and Extension Line Up, Shorty - Section 6: Exit Ticket

Intervention time for kids is critical and should be used to its greatest potential. Instead of guessing what the kids are missing or confused about, take a few seconds with each kid for whom you have a concern and have them explain their thinking. It won't take long for you to see exactly where the student is confused and making errors either in their thinking or computation. It saves time and energy when you know exactly what to hit in the small group setting to make the greatest impact.

Unit 13: How Does It All Measure Up?
Lesson 7 of 8

Objective: In teams, SWBAT put themselves in order by height, shortest to tallest.

Big Idea: Kinders need a variety of experiences to ensure they build a strong foundation on a topic. This lesson gives them another opportunity to compare height, this time using themselves as the objects.
