Reflection: Lesson Planning Fun with Parts of Speech - Section 1: Lesson Opener

 

Although seventh graders should know the 8 parts of speech, they often can't recite them. I am not saying that they should, I think many adults can not recite them. However, I think they need to think about why we use certain parts of speech to craft specific genres of writing. This lesson is attempting to do just that!
