## Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Writing About Symmetry: A sister lesson to Discovering the Meaning of Line Symmetry - Section 3: Conferences

I thought they would be able to write without me demonstrating exactly what I wanted from them! Because it is late in the school year, I thought I could skip this part! I learned again that writing support and demonstration is still essential for my students to feel secure in their writing about math.  I added in a notebook page for next time. I will do a write/think aloud as I write a sample in front of them using my quilt from the opening. This Educreations video supports my decision to to this!
