Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Greek Mythology - Toy Designers - Section 4: Toy Designers


My students spent way too much time on the action figure drawing part of the assignment and not enough time on the character analysis part.  I think in the future I will let them know that we are going to design an action figure based on a character, however, I will have them complete the in depth character analysis first.  When that part is complete, they can then design the action figure.

Unit 7: Greek Mythology Madness!
Lesson 3 of 8

Objective: SWBAT read and understand Greek Mythology as well as design an action figure based on a character from the Greek Myths. Students will also be able to write an in depth description of that character.

Big Idea: We are reading "Greek Myths" retold by Heather Amery. In this lesson, we are also going to be toy designers and design an action figure based on a character from the Greek myths.
