## Reflection: Real World Applications Plan A Party! (Day 1) - Section 3: Close

I was surprised by how many students struggled with figuring out the prices of groceries. They wanted to buy 1 hamburger for 1 people, until I asked them what the other people were going to eat. I had other students who wanted to buy each person their own bottle of ketchup until we discussed the amount of ketchup each person needed and the possibility of sharing. I had a lot of conversations with students about how to determine what they needed, which is something next time I will address first in my mini-lesson.
