Reflection: Checks for Understanding Combining Fact and Thought to Write the Research Essay - Section 1: Do Now: Correct the Citation


It took students some time to figure out how to correct the in-text citation. As was, I moved on because I knew we would talk about it again momentarily and that I would be giving feedback as students drafted. However, if I had been moving into some other aspect of research writing, their slow response time would have been a red flag that more practice was needed. A worksheet would have been applicable in that scenario.
