Reflection: Performance Tasks A Close Read of What Jo Did - Section 5: Closure

My scholars can always look up an unknown word in a dictionary or a thesaurus, but I want them to learn to use context clues and understanding word parts better in order to determine word meanings.  Helping them to add to their personal dictionaries and discuss the meanings of new words in small groups is helping them to do just that.
