OK... the introductory part of this lesson could have gone better and I could have given my students a clearer idea of the picture the poet was trying to paint by taping myself reading one part while I read the other part with it.  My students were having trouble getting the point of the poem because they could only really hear one part.  I tried having them read it with me, but they couldn't do it in a big group.  It was fun and we had a lot of laughs, but it didn't serve my purpose.  Next time, I need to think ahead and prepare a recording so they can get the whole picture.
