## Reflection: Checks for Understanding Show Me! - Section 3: Station Time

I have included two completed sheets from the Show Me activity.  These two students started using quarters on their own.  The first student is very secure with the use of a quarter and consistently uses them to represent amounts.  The second sheet demonstrates a student who is starting to use quarters. You can see that he used them in some cases but didn't recognize that he could use them in others.  In order to help him, I would show him the example that he did using quarters.  Then I would build his example (not using quarters) with the coins used and ask him if there were any trades.  I would then ask him to go and check his other combinations to see if he could make any other trades.
