Reflection: Routines and Procedures Book Groups: Checking In - Section 2: Getting Started

 

This is the fifth day that students have been working in their book groups. They have read chapters one through nine and completed four out of the six jobs available. By this point they should be fairly comfortable with the routine and not need many prompts from me to complete their work.

Unit 15: Book Groups

Objective: TWBAT coach designated groups through the process of book clubs.

Big Idea: Students are midway through their first book group book and job sheets. My focus today is to check in with two groups: one who is struggling with reading the text and the second who is ready for extension beyond their current work.
