Reflection: Conferencing Maryland is a Place - Section 4: Assessment

Conferencing with the students is the most important part of the assessment process with this lesson. When I ask the students to read their nouns to me and explain where they got it from in the classroom, it deepens their understanding of what a noun is and why it fits in a certain category.

Being able to categorize nouns and use them properly helps students to build proper sentences which convey a clear message to the reader.
