Reflection: Complex Tasks Practicing Contrasts and Contradictions with The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - Section 1: Lesson Opener


Notice and Note is a great book which promotes focused note taking on the text. The annotations can be used with all fiction texts and help students develop deeper thinking about they are reading. After teaching the notations as it's own lesson, students started using them without prompting. Next year, I will start the year with these annotations when reading any fiction text.
