Reflection: Pacing Working with Multiple Texts, Practice Two - Section 2: Working with Multiple Texts

As noted in the lesson, students did not include enough text detail in their first practice with multiple texts. One theory I had, rather than students simply not knowing how to do it (which was remedied in today's lesson) was that I had not provided enough work time in the first lesson. After all, it does take time to pull text proof from not one but TWO sources. I gave them a little more work time today, and it seemed to help. Not every response had textual proof, but far more did.

It's important to allow enough work time for students to actually meet expectations; failure to do so can lead to poor results and frustrated students.
