Reflection: Rigor Why Did the Dinosaurs Disappear? Day 2 of 2 - Section 5: Independent Writing

How did my students do with showing what happened to the earth that caused the dinosaurs to disappear?

For the most part they got the gist. They showed me different details that supports the cause and effect that happened because of the meteorite: WhathappenedToTheEarthThatCausedTheDinosaursToDisappear.

One students does a good job using the time order words to describe what happens after the "huge rock" hit the earth. The writing includes good academic language and for the most part spelled the words correctly: GoodExplanation.

Another students gives another good explanation the cause and effect in his first paragraph. He uses the word "and" instead of using time order words. He gives reasons as to how some of the dinosaurs dies immediately: GoodCause&Effect.

Overall, I feel the students did well in explaining the cause and effect presented by the author. I am happy to see the richness of their content.
