Reflection: Grappling with Complexity Mae Jemison: Exploring the relationship between supporing details and main ideas - Section 5: Independent Practice


We only did one station because scholars had a tough time with the guided practice and it had to be more strictly modeled.  Therefore, I cut this section a bit so that scholars had more support early in the lesson and they were not ready to be independent yet.  The yellow group went with the ELL teacher, the white group went to my table to practice the same skill with books on their level and the pink group practiced independently.
