Reflection: Pacing Poetry: Reflection - Section 2: Setting a Purpose

 

Due to the time restraints of my schedule, I needed to have this lesson stand on its own. On a positive note, this did allow extra time for students to share their responses with each other and talk about the unit overall. However, it easily could be combined with the summative assessment lesson, if you have the time.

Lesson 12 of 14

Objective: SWBAT reflect on what they enjoyed most about the unit and share with their group.

Big Idea: Students complete a reflection that identifies their favorite poem, type of figurative language, and opinion on including rhyme in poems.
