Reflection: Lesson Planning Poetry: An Inquiry (Day 1) - Section 2: Setting a Purpose

Because this is the first lesson in the unit, it lasted a bit longer than the promised 30 minutes. However, changing your instructional approach from inquiry to direct instruction could easily shorten it. While the inquiry adds a sense of choice and engages students, it could be removed if needed to fit your time schedule.
