Reflection: Checks for Understanding PIE Me, Author's Purpose - Section 3: Choosing the Purpose

The "Show Me" game is my way of checking for understanding. I usually keep a checklist with student names on a clipboard or sticky notes. I write down names on stickies for students that had trouble identifying the right purpose. If I am using the clipboard I put checks by the names for students that understood. I then decide whether I need to reteach the whole lesson or if I can pull a small group for extra support.
