Reflection: Lesson Planning Socratic Seminar on Connecting all Three Texts from this Unit - Section 3: Seminar

Since this was my student's third seminar and we had a warm-up the day before, each circle discussed for over 10 minutes today! That was a long way from the 5 we started with. Students made some insightful connections and there were misconceptions that were cleared up because we had a longer discussion. I have to keep reminding myself to plan practice sessions and multiple lessons of a strategy students are struggling with and they will start making progress.
