Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Making a Judgment: Who is the Tragic Hero of Antigone?, Scene 4 and 5 (1 of 2) - Section 3: Let's act out the final scene

When I chose actors to act out Scene 5 and I chose students to be acting coaches, I had 4 students left.  I didn't want those students to just sit and wait during the 15 minutes.  To prevent that, I decided to give those students the responsibility of rewriting part of the scene in modern English.  I told them they could give the scene a certain dialect.

It was hilarious.  Unfortunately, we didn't have time to act this out, but I will make copies and have the actors present the modern English scene when we have some extra time in class.
