Reflection: Understanding Genre - Section 2: Lesson

The powerpoint used in this lesson comes from Authorstream, an online host of shared items.  This is without a doubt the best powerpoint lesson I've found for reviewing genre.  Students at this level are familiar with genre, so I do not want to spend too much time just reviewing the concept.  This powerpoint allows me to review, introduce them to new timely books and connect to examples they have read and are reading.

The question answer section of the powerpoint is also great for testing knowledge.  It can be used as a quiz or a class dicsussion.
