Reflection: Essay Writing The Whipping Boy - Opinion Writing - Section 5: Mini Writing Conferences

I love to have individual writing conferences with my students where we sit down and talk about the strengths and weaknesses of their writing pieces. Time, however, does not always permit me to do this is frequently as I would like to. These mini conferences work perfectly in between our more formal conferences. I can quickly glance through their essays and give them immediate feedback as they handed them in when they finish writing.
